Bedformer characteristics

How does a bedformer work? In general, it has two side rotors that finely crumble the earth and convey it to the central part of the frame, creating a soft ridge with a trapezoidal shape. • Rammer roller: The rear rammer roller with single tracker per hose is used to compact the surface of the trapezoidal ridge and create an even more compact seedbed. It can also have a tracer ring that creates a groove where the irrigation hose is laid.
• Double rammer roller: further reduces hose laying times because this roller creates two grooves to position two irrigation hoses. On the tamping roller, the distance between the marking rings is fixed, but can be customized.
• Coulters, pair of supplementary paddles with shovels: these are shovels applied to the bedformer frame, to collect soil from outside the working area of the machine; they are very useful when you need to build a large trapezoidal seedbed.
• CSV, pair of plowshares complete with supports: they consist of two anchors used to aerate and move the ground crushed by the tractor wheels.
• CSD, pair of plow discs, with supports: two discs are applied on a telescopic support that are used to collect soil from outside the working area of the machine or to create grooves between the trunks in order to drain the soil near them
• Double disc rotors for B10 bedformer: these are double disc rotors especially useful if you have to work on very hard or clayey soils.
• Electric fertilizer spreader and microgranulator with cabin control.

What is mulching and why it should be done

A mulch sheet is spread by the mulcher on the ground with different purposes, such as protecting the roots, avoiding excessive temperature changes and limiting the growth of weeds. Mulching is a very effective and functional passive method of controlling weeds and evaporation of water from the soil. It consists in spreading a layer of material (mulch, but also plastic film or non-woven textile fiber) on the ground, to prevent the growth of weeds that could "dirty" and damage the crop.

• Drip tape layer: it is a device that supports an irrigation hose reel, to be unrolled and positioned directly on the surface of the trunk or inside the groove previously created by the "tamping roller" bedforming accessory. It is also available in a double version, to support two coils of irrigation hoses
• SMTSR-S, semi-rigid hose drip tape layer: similar to the previous device, but supports a reel of semi-rigid irrigation hose. Also in this case it is available in the double version
• SPBDR, spare reel holder support: metal support for a spare reel (therefore a second reel), which allows you to have a spare reel available during work to be replaced when the first one runs out, therefore saving time
• Row marker: a device formed by an adjustable telescopic arm, on which a disc is mounted on the distal end. It is useful for tracing the position where the next trapezoidal seedbed is to be made, so as to proceed straight and parallel with maximum precision
• Electric fertilizer spreader and microgranulator with control in the cabin.
